European Mentoring Summit
Berlin Summit 2018
The 3rd European Mentoring Summit took place on 14th - 16th of March 2018 for the mentoring community in Europe and beyond. The summit took place in Berlin, organized by the Berlin Mentoring Network and the Agency for Historical, Civic, and Media Education e. V., Berlin in collaboration with the European Center for Evidence-Based Mentoring.
The European Mentoring Summit was a great opportunity to strengthen the network, to get to know the diversity of the mentoring scene, to gain and pass on new insights from research and action. This event brought together more than 200 practitioners, researchers and educational partners from Europe and beyond, under the theme "Strong Relationships for a Strong Civic Society".
Mentoring helps to build bridges between people of different backgrounds, encourages young people in their development and supports immigrants to settle into their new environments. Despite the diversity of the target groups and forms of mentoring, it is the sustainable, trustworthy and resilient relationship between mentor and mentee that forms the basis; it is also the starting point for amazing results. For this reason, we have chosen the motto “Strong Relationships for Strong Civic Societies” for this 3rd European Mentoring Summit, and we adressed three key issues:
* building strong relationships
* mentoring for migrants
* the impact measurement of mentoring.
